Subcutaneous fungal infection of wound origin: A case of clinical report
Main Article Content
Abstract
Chromoblastomycosis is a fungal infection of the skin that is related to wounds. The three common fungi that cause the disease include: Fonsecaea pedrosoi, Phialophora verrucosa, Cladophialophora carrionii. There are many treatment methods, but the disease is still a challenge in diagnosis and treatment. Over the past three years, during the practice of wound treatment, we have discovered two cases of fungal infection of the skin transferred from other hospitals with suspected skin cancer. We completely cured one patient due to early detection. The remaining patient had good but persistent progress in treatment, because the disease had persisted for many years, so he was transferred to a dermatology specialist.
