The survey of the knowledge of patient`s parents about the first aid and prevention of pediatric burn injuries in the pediatric burn department, Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital, 2020

Abstract
Objectives: 1. Evaluate the knowledge of patient`s members of the family about the first aid and prevention of children burn injuries in the Pediatric Burn Department in 2020.
2. Comparison of the knowledge of patient`s members of the family about the first aid of children burns injuries before and after consultancy, health education.
Subject and methods: 200 patient`s members of the family in the Pediatric Burn Department in Le Huu Trac National Burn Hospital who have a test about the knowledge of the first aid children burn injuries before and after consultancy, healthy education.
Results: The knowledge of the patient`s members of the family about the first aid of children burns injuries. The general knowledge: the ratio of the correct answers is upper 50% in 6/10 questions, the highest correct answer is 75.5%; The knowledge of the first aid thermal burn: the ratio of the correct answers is upper 50% in 5/5 questions, the highest correct answer is 70.5%; The knowledge of the first aid electrical burn: the ratio of the correct answers is upper 50% in 1/4 questions, the lowest correct answer is 35.5%; The knowledge of the first aid chemical burn: the ratio of the correct answers is lower than 50% in 3/5 questions, the lowest correct answer is 19.5%.
Comparison to the correct answers before and after consultancy, health education: the ratio of correct answers after consultancy, health education about the first aid of children burn injuries is better than before consultancy, health education.
Conclusion: The knowledge of patient`s members of the family about the first aid and prevention of children burn injuries is much limited; There is a significant difference before and after consultancy, healthy education. The ratio of correct answers after consultancy, healthy education about the first aid of children burns injuries is better than before consultancy, healthy education.
