Survey demand and reality practicing care for patients with chronic kidney disease of a nurse at the Department of Nephrology, Urology and Hemodialysis, the Agriculture General Hospital

Abstract
Objectives: The study to survey the needs for comprehensive care and describe the situation of practicing nursing care for patients with chronic kidney disease that require hemodialysis at the Department of Nephrology, Urology and Hemodialysis, the Agriculture General Hospital, in 2020.
Object and methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 195 patients treated with routine hemodialysis.
Results: The patients with physical care needs accounted for 89.7% to 94.8%. The demand for mental care accounts for 60 to 100%. The demand for social care accounts for 69.7 to 100%.
Conclusion: The proportion of patients expressing their needs for comprehensive care was high in health care, physical, mental and social aspects (> 80%). Patients with the frequent practice of health care accounted for a high proportion (> 80%), whereas the figure for physical care practice was low (only 3/11 items).
